On Monday, December 16th, the StepUP community held a big pizza party to celebrate finals week. We devoured 12 pizzas as almost every StepUP student attended. The last two weeks were tough with all of the late-night studying and papers to write but we finished!
One StepUP student Sara M. stated, “I have been working non-stop, but the rewards of getting a good grade is worth all of the time and effort I put into it.” She is right. We have all been working hard, but when we see our grades it is so gratifying knowing that we have accomplished so much especially while juggling recovery and sometimes jobs, as well. Another student–Kevin S.—said, “I have written so many different papers for about two months now and I am finally done. This winter break will be the best one yet!”
One great benefit of living in StepUP is that we all have each other to rely on and to keep each other accountable for our school work and our actions. We all take care of one another.
