ISSS OFFICE SUPPORT

Priti will be out of office from December 10, 2021 and will be back on campus on January 3, 2021. Bettine will be here on campus from December 26, 2021 to January 7, 2022.

OMNICRON VARIANT – COVID

In the remainder of the fall semester, we want to remind all students that they must stay home or in their residential unit if they have symptoms of COVID-19. We have documented several recent cases where students with symptoms continued to come to campus, attend class, and participate in social activities on campus. In a number of these cases, the students ended up infecting their friends with COVID-19 and causing other students to quarantine for the final two weeks of the semester.

Please pay attention to symptoms, use the CampusClear app each day before coming to campus or leaving your residential unit, and follow Augsburg’s guidelines for what to do if you are feeling sick and/or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19. This will help you keep yourself and your friends healthy, and minimize disruption in your schedules in the final weeks of the semester.

As we head into the second holiday season of the pandemic, COVID-19 continues to spread at high levels across the state and in much of the country. To mitigate the risk of transmission at in-person holiday gatherings, consider layering multiple precautions:

  • Get vaccinated and a booster dose.
  • Avoid crowded public situations for a couple of weeks before the celebration.
  • Get tested a few days prior, either at a testing site or using an at-home test.
  • Stay home if you have symptoms or if you test positive for COVID-19.
