Good morning Auggies,

Our team wants you wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
We hope you are having a great time during this Winter break and would like to remind you a few things:

✅ Today is the last day to designate the grading option.
If you would like to change your letter grade (A to F) to a Pass/Low Pass/No Pass, today is the last day!
You get up to 24 credits of P/NP for General Education requirements (LAFs), 8 credits total in your major, and 8 credits total in your minor/s.
Double check with your Faculty Mentor and/or Academic Advisor.

✅ Winter break dining services:
  • Dining Services closes after lunch on Fri, Dec 15; all other locations on campus close at 1:30pm
  • Dining Services reopens for dinner on Sun, Jan 14; all other locations on campus open on Tues, Jan 16

✅ International Student Orientation:
Our orientation will take place on January 11th, 2024 in OGC100 as usual.
Incoming students are required to attend it, while current students are welcome to come greet the new students.
Mentors are highly encouraged to come meet their new mentees; the best time would be at 10.25am .

✅ Classes begin on Tuesday, January 16th.
There’s no classes on Monday as it’s Martin Luther King JR’s day.

Here are some important information and upcoming events:

Winter break is from December 15th till January 16th.
If you’re going back home for Christmas make sure to have all the signed documentation you need to avoid being refused entry to the country.
If you’re staying on campus:
Complete the  Winter Break Intent to Stay Form by Thursday, December 14.. Residence Life and the Department of Public Safety will use this information to ensure you will have access to your Residence Hall (and the Food Lab, if requested) during the break period.

Chiara will be out of the office for a few weeks but will be working remotely, Bettine will be here but we kindly as you to schedule a meeting on Navigate (link at the bottom of this email).

Good morning everyone!
Bettine is back in the office and we have a few announcements.
✅ Emergency Grant Fund Re-Opened:
Augsburg is able to award funding for: rent/mortgage payments, emergency shelter, utility bills, transportation to/from campus or work, gas, automotive repairs, groceries, hot meals, childcare items, hygiene products, medical devices (e.g., eyeglasses), and medical services. Students may apply for up to $200 per semester.
Augsburg is not able to fund items for tuition, meal plans, or university fees. The state grant does not cover textbooks, BUT will still award textbook grants through the funding we have internally (Auggie Basics).
