RESEARCH PARTICIPATION – NORTH ARIZONA UNIVERSITY

You are invited to participate in a research study! It will take about 15 minutes, and the first 200 participants will receive a $5 Amazon gift card.

You will hear two different conversations and answer multiple choice questions to demonstrate how well you understood them. Please listen to each conversation only once. Your responses will be used to improve language teaching curriculum and theory.

THURSDAY, APRIL 21: SAY IT BRAVE SPEAKER SERIES

This series brings leading mental health advocates from Say It Brave to your campus twice a semester to share their lived experience with mental health in college, while also providing vital tools for self-care. Our first event will be held virtually on Thursday, April 21st at 8 p.m. EST, featuring Colleen Werner — a dancer, yoga instructor and therapist specializing in body liberation, eating disorders, trauma and BPD — who will share her story of recovery and resources for de-stressing in anxious times. Representatives from Active Minds (University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee chapter) will also share about how Active Minds is changing the conversation on mental health and encourage students to get involved or start a local chapter.

This session will bring together professionals across industry sectors with diverse and intersectional lived and work experiences to dialogue about DEI challenges sourced from our Forum community.  We are seeking an Augsburg student to join live in studio as a co-moderator for this session and dialogue.  The ideal candidate will have lived global experience (outside the United States), enjoy engaging in rigorous dialogue, have a curious mindset, and be willing to share personal anecdotes from their own experiences.
