Campus Kitchen
Part of our place-based work, Campus Kitchen at Augsburg University works to make healthy food accessible to all in and around the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood. Campus Kitchen cultivates engagement between Augsburg and Cedar-Riverside around issues of health, wellness, and sustainability, and offers opportunities for student learning and leadership development through meal preparation, food distribution, community gardening, and health education.

Community-Based Learning
Every year, numerous courses at Augsburg include an experiential learning component that connects students with community organizations through research, field trips, guest speakers, service learning, and public impact projects. Students also participate in community-based learning through co-curricular opportunities like Campus Kitchen, Augsburg Local, and more.
Bonner Community Leaders

The Bonner Community Leaders (BCL) program is a part of a nationally recognized network of leadership and scholarship programs through the Bonner Foundation. Augsburg BCL is an intentionally diverse cohort of 20-25 students who commit to doing civic and community-based work and contribute to building a more just world, working in and with communities surrounding Augsburg University.
Sabo Scholars
The Sabo Scholars program is a yearlong student seminar exploring civic and public life, providing a unique opportunity for students to study the political process, work on public policy, and explore careers in public service. The cohort meets weekly for an academic seminar and civic engagement project work. Participants are eligible for a $2,500 scholarship.
